Nigritude Ultramarine and Google Index

Google keeps rolling index builds from one datacenter to another. But not all of the datacenters have the latest version of my SEO Challenge profile. This makes it jump up and down in the SERPs every day.

Unless new page is linked from a high PR site it could be cached only in one of the datacenters for as long as a month and only then slowly propagate to the entire google network.

Backlinks still didn't show up. Google has a separate index for backlinks and Google Toolbar PR. That index is updated once every few weeks and sometimes apperas to be broken and inconsistent for a few hours just before the update. Apparently, Google engineers don't consider it a critical component of the system and roll it out in a cheap non-locking manner.

I wonder how many backlinks will have my Nigritude Ultramarine SEO blog after the update and what will be its toolbar PR.

Bots are robots that visit your site to extract data from its pages. "Good" bots include search engine crawlers like Googlebot and Yahoo! Slurp. You definitely want good bots to visit your site so your pages will show up in search engine results. seo
